Reviews in The Guardian, and Fatea Records amongst [...] One of the most exciting things about being a freelance musician is getting calls out of the blue offering work that I never could have imagined… in this case, being flown out to Brazil to do a paid formal Scottish Ceilidh for the Caledonian Society of Sao Paulo! It was short notice so we worked [...] In 2010 I went to Japan with Rattle on the Stovepipe, where we played at a mix of venues in Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and Hiroshima. Nearly three years later we were spotted by a friend on a beer mat in an Irish bar in Kyoto! She emailed us the photo below. [...] I was really pleased to be asked by the wonderful Appalachian singer Alice Wylde to provide the music for her album, Songs of Old Appalachia.
